2025 November Member Meeting

Baby Makayla, just 14 months old,
has spent her entire life in the hospital fighting
a rare condition called VACTERL Association.
She was recently released home for the very first time
— a huge milestone for her and her family.

Her parents, Yessika and Edgar,
moved their family from New Mexico to Colorado
so Makayla could receive the specialized care she needs.
Edgar, a former contractor, had to leave his job
to be by her side and is now searching for work locally.

Their sons, Bryan (13) and Abraham (9),
are adjusting to a new home and community
while helping care for their baby sister with love
and strength beyond their years.

This holiday season, we’re collecting gifts and essentials
to help the Ontivo family feel supported, comforted,
and surrounded by kindness as they start this
new chapter together at home.

with the persons name on them.

They need a Christmas tree and lights
and decorations.
